Milne got his first-class cricket appearance for Central Districts at 18 against Canterbury in the 2009/10 season. He got a boundary with his second ball in senior cricket.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) signed him for the 2015, Indian Premier League, but he was unable to play due to injury; he did, however, play for RCB in the 2016 and 2017 tournaments. Moreover, Milne signed with Kent County Cricket Club in May 2017 to compete in the upcoming second half of the English cricket season. Milne was scheduled to play for Essex in the 2016 season but had to cancel his game due to an injury.
