This rocket was designed to carry up to 117,000 pounds, approximately 53,000 kg, to orbit.

Further, to continue experimenting with technology, SpaceX announced the Super Heavy–Starship system, the successor for the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy. It is estimated that Super Heavy’s first phase would carry 100,000 kg (220,000 pounds) to low Earth orbit.
