Boult was New Zealand’s highest wicket scorer during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. Following the competition, the Sunrisers Hyderabad gave Boult his first call-up to the Indian Premier League, and he got bought for $600,000.
In February 2017, the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise purchased him for 5 crores ahead of the 2017 Indian Premier League season. He also participated for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League from 2018 to 2019.
In June 2019, he received the honor to represent the Toronto Nationals series side in the 2018-19 Global T20 Canada competition. Boult was named for New Zealand’s one-day series with Australia on January 21, 2009, at the age of 19.
